Not if we can help it! Our rule of thumb is: if it’s smaller than a credit card and not directly in the driver’s line of sight, we can usually repair it. Repairing is faster, cheaper, and keeps your original factory seal intact. We’ll always give you an honest opinion on what’s safest.
In many cases, yes—and it often costs you $0. Most insurance providers would much rather pay for a small repair now than a full replacement later. We’re experts at navigating the paperwork, so just bring your insurance card by and we’ll help you figure out the details.
We know you’re busy. A standard chip repair usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes. You’re welcome to hang out in our waiting area, or if we’re coming to your home or office, you can head back inside and we’ll just give you a shout when it’s cured and ready to drive.
For the resin to bond properly, the glass needs to be dry and at a certain temperature. If it’s raining and you have a garage or a carport, we’re good to go! If not, we can usually find a dry spot at our shop or reschedule you for the first clear window of time.
Great question. Many modern cars have cameras and sensors (called ADAS) behind the rearview mirror that help with lane-keeping and braking. If we replace your windshield, those sensors need to be recalibrated to make sure they’re still "seeing" the road correctly. We’ll walk you through exactly how that works for your specific car.
Absolutely. We stand by our work. If a chip we repaired ever spreads, we’ll credit the cost of the repair toward a brand-new windshield. If we do a full replacement, we guarantee it against leaks and manufacturer defects for as long as you own the vehicle.
